Cj5 upgrade...help?

I recently bought a 79 Cj-5 and I would like to make it into a rock crawler/show jeep. Can anyone help out with some upgrade advise? I already have a lift but that is it.

First thing I did to mine and all my new to me rides is get the maintenance done. Fix the safety stuff, get it reliable and fun to drive. A base line. That's if it's a daily driver and a toy. If it's just a toy. Then comes the roll cage, rims & tires more horse power, winch, stereo, speakers, lights, more lights....

Get a specific goal, make sure they don't conflict. Like hard core rock crawler and good gas mileage work commuter. Make a list, kind of price it out then go for it.

A Jeep is almost endless when it comes to upgrades.

Your average rock crawler that gets used in the rocks won't make much of a show vehicle. Mine looks pretty good from 20ft away, but then you start to see all of the scratches, dents, torn metal, etc.

Which do you really want, crawler or show pony?

I have it everything fixed up inside and out but I need bumpers and not sure what I have to do underneath to make it do what the jeep above is doing.
