CJ5 rock armor thread

With my tiny bits of spare time, I've been searching a bit for some CJ5 armor. Specifically, front tube fenders. Once I started searching, I found nobody makes any. All of the websites specifically state "CJ7" in the description.

This got me thinking about rear wheel well armor. There is such a huge market for these things for TJs and JKs and the lot of them, but nothing for a CJ5 with the crazy door openings and oddly shaped rear quarters. I'm pretty intent on finding some, and if I can't, I'll more than likely have some made locally.

Anyway, I've been searching for a few days now for some CJ5 armor threads and couldn't find any, so I figured I would post one here. If you have a link to some CJ5 compatable armor, post it here! Any type of armor at all, bumpers, cages, rockers, fenders, skid plates, anything!

I think they might be as well, haven't swapped any parts myself so I didn't want to jump to a wrong answer. My main search right now is rear corners and rock sliders. But I figured listing it all couldn't hurt to someone else searching for some armor.

Front Fenders are the same for the 72-later CJs.. both 5s and 7s.

Might not be too difficult to cut down a set of CJ7 Rock Sliders to fit a CJ5... worth looking into.

Like BESRK said... 72 and later CJ5s are identical to CJ7s. Before that they were about 5" shorter.

BESRK makes great bumpers for CJs. He made both of mine.

He made my whole Jeep!

Speaking of which, Eddie I'll make sure to send you some video of this thing bouncing off the rev limiter hopefully around March. I'm getting back to the states in November and giving myself 4 months to get it running.
