cj5 leaf spring problem

i have a 75 cj5 and i was hoping for some ideas about how to switch to 1 ton axles. the jeeps leaf springs now are directly under the frame. the spring perches on the 1 ton axles are 3'' farther apart. i either need to move the leaf springs out from under the frame(i rele wanna leave them under the frame) or move the spring perches on the axles in. but cant do that because the pumpkin. Any ideas or suggestions?

you will need outboard your springs ether way. but there are two ways to go about this problem, to fabricate your own spring and shackle hangers or buy the MORE (mountan offroad engineering) srs and full width kit witch is what i did and i love it.

Your gonna need a welder ether way tho.

Since you're going to have to fabricate spring and shackle hangers, make them work with either '76 and up CJ parts or YJ springs.

It's a perfect opportunity to ditch the short, skinny, stiff 1.75" wide spring packs altogether.

What they said. Or narrow up the axle housings and shafts.

If you're planning on going to one tons and large rubber, you might want to consider boxing the frame rails in at the same time. Those axles are quite a bit heavier than the stock setup.
