I went and picked up the top and doors today.... was a 6 hour trip... And I am very disheartened..... The top is in decent shape, some of the mounting areas are damaged and the rear gate seems warped as one corner of the door sticks way out... And the doors.... Where the hardware mounts there have been holes drilled where they shouldn't be, original holes damaged, and the top of the doors have been shaved!! about a 3/4' in some areas. I don't know how to do fiberglass work...I don't think these can be used...

Another nearby states to look into if your local area turns nothing up yet.

Someone might know someone who could help you in your neighboring Jeep state clubs ?

Ok, I took a bunch of pics. The top has a small broken area in the corner near the mounting edge, which is gone in some area of the corner. The guy used the wrong hinges for the rear lift gate and drilled new holes and the door is a little higher than it should be. All the handle hardware seems to be riveted on, maybe thats how they were in 1976? This guy destroyed the door mounting areas by putting new holes and tightening so much he crushed some of the area, and tried to use glue..... And someone shaved the top edge/corner of one of the doors, its tapers to a high of 3/4 inch shaved off.

Wow. The guy must of bought a new pop riveter.

When I got mind I had to take the hinges off and center the door the best I could and the drill new holes to mount the hinge. We're the hing goes, there should be solid backing so the door doesn't crush.

There is a guy on this site that completely redid his top. Yours is not that far off from what he started with.

I'll get the link when I go inside.

Yea yours lookes much nicer. Thanks for the link. I will probably sand mine all down too and refinish it. So there was never a time when rivets were factory used on these?
