Not that it seems to matter to anyone but me...
I decided to try to flex out the Allis today. At least stil it rolled off the jack lol.

Not bad for a Rough Country Conversion....

been very slow since my grand baby was born in January. I did get time yesterday on the way home to stop by a Junk yard and pick up some odds and ends.

I went shopping today.
I got everything I need except the return line to put power steering on Allis.
I installed the pump today but thats all I can do at the moment.

I took the old girl for an alignment, they found a bad ball joint, so now it's replaced, and aligned.
It still drives twitchy.... Wants to wonder s little and does not have a positive return when letting go of the wheel. It wants to keep turning.
So do you think it needs more castor?
Got four degree shims in it now.

On a positive note the ride if nearly perfect now, it rides as good as the wifes 99 Cherokee...
So the removal of all the short springs from the Rough Country was the correct and cheap route. There is a little body roll but it's not bad at all.

I did get the winch mounted this week, a new Engo 9k.
Took one of the sons swimming today in the CJ.

Ride is very pleasant now and even the rough creek bed was not jarring at all.
Who needs a YJ conversion or OME springs..
I am very happy with that part of it now.

I was re reading your posts and saw the screen

I'm old enough to remember they sold these things to increase gas mileage.
I don't know if it worked but it's kept the wing nut that holds the aircleaner on from falling into the intake.
MPG enthusiast are always re-discovering the screen idea.
