Garage
It is a Cj7. The doors are a "U" shape, where a Cj5 is more a "S" shape.

The front ends (cowl forward) are the same on the later CJ5, CJ7, CJ8. The wheelbase is different. The CJ7 and CJ8 share the same door opening. I won't get into the differences between the 'early' CJ5 and CJ6, as most of the junk out there for sale is 76-86. (When AMC bought Jeep, they lengthened the front to accommodate the I6 engine.)

The CJ in question is definitely a CJ7. Tell your boss you want a raise.

CJ7 all day. The front clip on all later CJs is identical.

Every CJ that's 1972 or newer has the same length fenders/hood.

He sounds really intelligent. I hope he's not a boss of anything important.

Your boss should stick with things he knows about, and admit to those things he's doesn't.

Next, he'll probably tell you your CJ7 is the same thing as a Wrangler.

A little bit of ignorance goes a long way in an argument. This would be a good one for him to put some cash on the line.

I never gamble, but I'll always bet on a sure thing!

Have you shown him this thread?

If so, and he's still sticking with his assertion, that's not stubborn, it's pig-headed.
