CJ5/7 tub heights?

I'm wondering if the height of the tub in the "bed" area on the CJ7s is taller than on the 5s or is it an optical illusion?
To me the belt rails on the 5 look lower down, the top of the tub looks closer to the top of the rear wheel well in back.

Yes the CJ7 tub is higher. if you put a CJ-7 tailgate on a CJ-5 it will stick up a few inches above the tub.

Not an illusion. Here is my 6 in front of my 8 to show wheelbase, but you can see rear tub difference too.

Good to know thanks. I was wondering about possibly using CJ7 corner armor on a 5. also thinking about the 7 tail gate.

guess those would take a bit of work to make fit.
