cj-yj, hard-soft top question

can a person use a yj or newer hard or soft top on a cj 7 ? i know it probably will not be a perfect fit , just wondering what some of the issues were from any that have done it, and your thoughts afterwards. this is a trail only jeep so im just looking for some warmth for next winter.thanks for everyones input in advance

The YJ top WILL fit on a CJ but slight mods to the tailgate/liftgate will need to be done. Any newer tops will NOT fit a CJ.

If you check the CJ FAQ sticky at the top of the forum, there's a link to a thread with top fitment discussion.
