CJ Won't sart

I have not started my CJ7 in the last 4 months, never stops raining. It has a chevy 350. I turn the ignition on and the I hear the electric fuel pump and the volt guage has about 10 volts. When I turn the ignition on to try start, I don't hear the fuel pump anymore and the volt guage goes to zero. Do you think I have an electrical issue, or could the starter be frozen or some other issue with the starter?
Thanks,
Michael

The battery has had a battery tender plugged into it the whole time, and the jeep has a kill switch which was off. I believe the kill switch is working fine because if I turn the kill switch off then I don't hear the fuel pump, and if I turn the kill switch on, I hear the fuel pump.

I am currently giving the battery a full charge just in case it could be that.

Thanks,

Well you should see at least 12 volts on the bat, only getting 10 tells me the bat is either not charged or bad

Battery tender's only 'push' about 1.5 amps in an hr. They only give back what parasitic drain takes(clock, radio memory, etc.). They will NOT charge a battery. For that need, you must use a battery charger.
If you have a bad cell it won't do much for you.
How old is the battery?
Take the battery and have it load tested for volts and amps......
My SWAG, the battery is DOA.
BTW, you should see about 13 volts, with the tender work'n on a good battery.

A battery tender maintains the two battery's in my cummins just fine. It just takes longer.

Are your connections good.

This is a three year old connection. Notice zero corrosion using a product called Nooxide.

That's because your batteries are operating properly. When one of those 2 batteries start to go 'sour', it will pull the other down with it. That why it's strongly recommended to replace both batteries, when one goes bad.
A dying battery will 'pull' more that a tender can supply.

Have to agree, sounds like a dead battery.

I keep a battery on a small solar charger for my Jag which sees daylight every 6 to 9 months. It is removed from the vehicle due to acid fumes so has no other draw. To date it has worked fine and kept it fully charged.

I had the battery tested and it is fine. It has 350 cold cranking amps. I am thinking it is a ground some where. If I take the negative end of a jumper cable and put on negative post of battery and take the other end of the negative jumper cable to the same bolt on the block that the negative cable from the battery is connected to and take the positive end of the jumper cable and attach to block and then the other end of the postive jumper cable to the body. When I turn the key the engine will start to crank. I have checked the negative connections to the body and made sure there all clean and still no luck, not sure where I am not getting the proper ground, could it be at the starter itself?

350 CCA is nothing. Most automotive batteries are well over 550.

Resolved

Issued resoved, battery volts and cranking amps are fine. Jeep starts fine now. I have gm style battery cables and that were mounted to the front of battery. I tried the negative cable on the top post of the battery and the jeep cranks and starts. I have never seen a terminal go bad on a battery before. Have converted both cables to the top bost of the battery and all is well.
Thanks for the help.
