Well this is my first Jeep, 1975 CJ-5. This is how she looked when I brought her home last Thursday.

Had to cut out one of the floorpans.

Well that was 5 days ago, and here she is today.

She's pretty damn quick too!! 351W

One of all my toys

Now for a two-pronged question. 1) What kind of front axle do I have? and 2) Why does my axle shaft have so much play?

It has been a very busy couple of days and there is more to come. Tires, wiring harness, taillights are in the mail. So far I replaced the shackles and bushings, drag link, some body panels and the hood latches. All in all Ive spent about 1500 bux on her in the last couple of days.

Just mounted a set of 38" M/T Baja MTZ radials on new Cragar Soft 8 15x10" wheels. Ride quality is so much better than the 40" Ground Hawgs that were on it previously. And the M/T's do quite nicely in the mud, on the rocks as well...

Soft top going on this weekend and have put new front bumper on since. But this is close to where she is now.

They are 33x10.5x15 BFG TA KO's on Crome Modular rims. I bought the setup from wheelinjames on here a few months ago. I believe Tyres1 or National Tire and wheel carry them. I'm looking for a 5th here so i'll let you know where i find them.
