no problem. I'm just looking at this thing and its blowing my mind. Theres not even scratches in the paint in the cargo area in the back. Not a hint of rust anywhere, not even on the liftgate on the hard top or the front part of the frame. whew. x100
It's a dark picture. There are some scratches in the paint, but I haven't seen any rust yet! The driver's seat has a tear, and there are some scratches in the body, a couple of the guages aren't working, but overall it's in great shape. Since I am not very mechanical, I definitely wasn't looking for a project. Although, after spending 30 minutes trying to start it the other morning, I'm thinking a carb rebuild is in the immediate future.
I was just looking at the picture of yours, and it looks pretty darn clean as well. I see you're thinking of black wheels. I was actually considering going back white. I think it might look good with the white top. I haven't decided yet. Yours looks great, and I vote for the black!
Here are some more recent pictures of mine... Paint is original, looks nice when all cleaned up from a few feet away. The top two pics are from after I cleaned it today, the bottom two are a few months old.
Badass Michael! Did you replace your body and front clip? Did you bondo your frame or metal patch or fiberglass patch?
The tub, fenders and hood are brand new fiberglass (ebay) im trying to get a grill but they are harder to find, a windsheild frame would be nice too. I think the grill and windsheild frame will be black, but i wanted to see how the synthetic primer i got holds up to bare metal on the grill, since the autozone spraycan primer i temperarly put on in december was already rusting though by now. The frame i cut out the rot in the back left corner and replaced all the front motor mount boxing. ground it all down, por15 / primed /red enamal.
