Well, here is mine.. Bought it 3 years ago and did a resto of the body and new paint in Sunburst Orange, as well as a full Painless wiring. It has got an AMC 304 v8, Quadra Trac and Low Gear. Almost finished and ready for the first drive after 1,5 years!

Thanks to this Forum for all the knowledge and things I've learned about this car! It was always a great help for me when running into problems.

My CJ5

Thought I would post a picture of my CJ5...

Its a 1977 California Edition Golden Eagle with 65,000 miles, original paint, decals and interior. I am the second owner of the jeep. At 37 she spends more time in the garage waiting for the sunny day so my daughter and I can bring her out and show her off in town or at the car shows.

I've been creepin this site for awhile while trying to find the right project. I did eventually find her and bring her home. Now for the fun stuff.
Here's a few pictures from when I picked her up and a few from the house out back. This is my first jeep ever and I'm super Stoked. (as it's one of those childhood dream cars I've always wanted.)

well here she is:

1977 CJ-5, and im at least the 3rd owner in all these years. shes a 3 speed manual, and im pretty damn sure shes a Golden Eagle. Ive been fixing her up one thing at a time and now she runs just great. which is extremely important since im in SF, and if i have a major problem on one of our hills things could go very badly.

if anyone would like a lot more pictures id be more than willing to take em and post an album or something. mechanically she runs pretty great, but there are things i have to do still both mechanically and aesthetically. hints/tips/suggestions would be awesome when i get the shots up

Figured I'd show off my 1984 CJ7 since I just finished it over the weekend. Here's a nice before and after. The tub was like swiss cheese, and the suspension shot, so it got a Pro Comp 2.5 inch lift, and lots of new sheet metal, including a new windshield frame and new glass.

We were in San Francisco October last and got to drive up and down those roads including the steepest one. I know what you mean about things ending badly if you have a fail. Sheesh they some steep hills!
