Its pretty, but it needs some attention and a little TLC. I have 4.5 more years before my son turns 16 and it becomes his.

Can't wait for that day! I have 15.5 years before my daughter gets our CJ, it'll still be going then though!

This is my baby. Just finished her last weekend. Seems I may have spun my passenger side axle...But it's a one piece and the splines are perfect....working on solution.

Here is my 86

Had it for about 6 years, just put a best top soft top on and painted it satin black! Got a rebuilt 258, T 176 trans, Dana 300 twin stick, original axles with a moser 1 piece kit in the AMC 20, Aussie locker up front, 4" BDS lift and 34x10.50 LTB's.

I like the look of the satin black.

What paint did you use?

"Excel" brand Single Stage Hot Rod Black with Satin Activator. Looks good, easy to find and even easier to blend for spraying patch work caused by trail damage. Oh........and the price is right too!

What a rush that must be to drive a Jeep that is the same age as you.

In my case that would be a 1947 Willy's. Ain't found one yet...

Nice looking for the age....

Have fun

Thanks brother. I live in DC...but go home often to PA. Doesn't matter where i'm at...i can't even stop for gas without some coming up to me and asking - "what year is that? It's in great shape!". I think the record was 6 in one day....and i've only been driving it for 3 weeks (it's in the shop getting a new camshaft gear and timing chain installed).

May have been said but this belongs in the "Stock looking CJs" thread. Sorry but I don't know how to post links.
