thanks. and a quick question, do any of you know what my hardtop is, i bought it on craigslist because it was the only one i have ever seen

I saw your thread concerning the hardtop. I've never seen one quite like that one. Someone here probably will chime in eventually.

Welcome to JF. Best suggestion is to drive it and enjoy. Figure out what you do like about it and what you don't. Then upgrade or repair the things that suit your needs.

I totally agree, drive it, enjoy it. You don't have to change anything unless you want to. Give it time and see what others have done. At some point you may say "That is cool, I want that!", then you'll know
