JDChris/Texan2 - If you don't want to cut your dash he's a few photos of the recent addition to my CJ - just completed mounting a new center console from Double D Fab for my stereo/CB and switches.

Detroit Diesel V8 Power

Just slapped an oil cooler in it today, did a heater core last week. Waiting for the gates around here to be unlocked so we can go play

Don't sell it man. I know being married you have to keep the peace. But surely something can be worked out. Good luck. BTW, good looking jeep!

Start of project photos.

I just bought my second 1980 CJ5 today. I got my first one on March 10th, about a month ago. It turned out that one had a rotted out frame. Here are some photos:
My first Jeep, 258, 4-speed, Carter BBD, small suspension lift, stock drive train, 1/4" diamond plate steel on both sides, KC's up front.

My second Jeep, 258, 3-speed, Carter 1BBL carb, small suspension lift, 33" wheels, stock drive train, and too much chrome.

My immediate plan for the black Jeep is to figure out the backup lights, turn signals, and hazard lights. These don't work correctly. Once that is done I can drive it on the road. In the near future I would like to swap the bumpers to get rid of the chrome, and probably also remove the chrome grill covers. Both front seats are in need of replacement, so those are on the shopping list. The green CJ has shoulder belts that the PO put in and I'll probably move those to the black CJ also.

I won't be able to remove the RAMBLER stickers fast enough, but they don't stop the Jeep from running so that isn't at the top of the list.

1987 YJ
2012 JK

Thanks 19in1979, I've added some small stickers where the Jeep logo normally appears:
