I might get my wife into the CJ once a year...key word is might. To her, the CJ is for fun, not transportation - and that's fine with me cuz she never asks for the keys. She just went from her Cowgirl Cadillac (a 98 Chevy Silverado 4X4 w/98,000 original miles on it) to her new Cowgirl Caddy (a 2013 Toyota SR5 4Runner 4X4). We live in the mountains so in her mind vehicles need only two parts up here... 4X4 is the necessity part and "leather seats and satellite radio" is the luxury part. I can't complain though, we had the other one for 15 years and we haven't had a car payment for 13 of those years.

Anyway, welcome to the club. Pictures are required when you do anything to it....cuz we're nosey SOB's.
I have the same problem with my wife. She's not big on ridding in the jeep anywhere, which is fine with me at least I don't have to listen to her telling me to slow down . Like GEOFFTC says as long as she is not asking for the keys all is good in my world.

Thanks, I'm very happy with it so far, got my tool box and spare mounted, I bolted a chain to the floor and bolted it to the wheel so it does not hit me in the head in case of a roll, also added a lock so let's hope this spare sticks around for a while.
Still working the bugs out and fixing leaks!
All leaks are now 50% slower!
Axle seals showed up yesterday, just waiting for the barrings.

Hey thanks guys. Yeah my girl actually convinced me to get a Jeep instead of a motorcycle. We have both wanted a Jeep since we were kids. Her grandparents have a one owner CJ7.
I wish that was my garage but it is my friend's who I bought the Jeep from. Im actually trying to rent the house and garage that the Jeep came out of. The man who owned the Jeep, till my friend bought it a month ago, died and his daughter is wanting to rent out his house. So it may be going back in it's garage.

It's just not nice to do that to people. Beautiful CJ8s. Why on earth did the stop making these things? Nothing before, since or for my money EVER will come close

Pretty sweet jeep. Are those the original Goodyear tires, as well?

Thing looks completely original, minus the turn signals on the fenders. Beautiful!
