Nice looking 5 toliver. I think it would look good with a fresh coat of the pewter grey. Good combination with the white hard top and white wheels.

Oh, and greetings from a native Texan. Unfortunately misplaced in California. My dad is a Texas Tech Alumni.

When I see a can/tire carrier like that...I say, would you just look at that?? I love those carriers...Valley Industries

Klingon....when you get a chance, you should take a pic or take a peek at the side of your block, below the exhaust manifold to check the casting of your block. I know of somebody who was sold a said 401 CJ, and it ended up being a 304 when he dug into it.....at that point all you can do is just look at it....he was so mad. If the guy was there that sold it to him, he would have just looked at him...

Toliver, it does have a great "patina" to it, but I think shooting clear over it would be a bit silly. A fantastic looking classic. A fresh coat of paint would be awesome.

Hey killington, So the dude was kinda paying you a complement and just maybe giving you a bit of helpful info. He mis-spelled/ mis-read your user name, big deal. You reply with what can be taken as a smart remark and disrespect. Really? How bout just a simple "Thanks"

If nothing is written there - you have a rebuild block which is the rarest and most valued AMC block. They were given to dealers for replacements and could be bored to any size.
