I'm not going to lie I just bought this Jeep. I'm not in the same state as it because I am down in SC doing training for the military. My wife went and picked this up for me. What I have been told is everything is original except the lift and tires. Now I don't know for sure if that's true till I get home, but I do plan to restore this jeep back to stock.

Good find, thank you for your service. I think I would enjoy it the way it is for awhile first.

Rathburn, I could be wrong, but I think you have a M606 there.

And this Vet wants to say Thank You.
Happy Easter.

This is my second post of the same CJ, but looking completely different.
I decided to introduce my CJ once again after the rebuild. The old thread is http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f8/cj...l#post11560996

Here they are,

New to the Forum but excited about my CJ7. Been a very long process, but will hopefully be getting my CJ back on the road by this summer. I safely navigated all 368 pages this past week and love seeing all the awesome CJ's out there. My 84 CJ7 wasn't much to look at when I got it. The tub looked like swiss cheese(too much rot for me to repair) so I decided to buy a replacement tub(not new). I currently have it all stripped down to the frame and body parts will be getting sandblasted over the next couple weeks for paint(think i'm gonna go with grey) and assembly. Going with a 4" Rough Country suspension lift, shackle lift and small body lift. Hopefully should clear the 35x12.50 tires I am planning on... Also planning on custom front bumper and custom full roll cage for the kiddos! Here are my before pics of what I started with and will post pics when I get most of my mods finished. I owned a 95 YJ in college and had to sell when I started my own business. I bought this CJ a few years after I sold the YJ to help me fight my jeep withdrawls(no jeep wave = depression). Thanks to all of you for your inspiration and great ideas/mods! Look forward to seeing more!
Here are a few BEFORE pics the PO sent me.

It looks like you bought that at the jeep store in Cartersville, Ga. I bought a YJ off them last year. Real great people.

Introducing Josephine "JOE"

Introducing Josephine "JOE" she's a 1984 CJ7 that barely made it off the Trailer and now she runs like a well oiled Machine, or should I say (For Now), New Fluids, Belts, Hoses, Intake and Exhaust Manifold Gaskets, Battery, heater core, New Wheels and Tires. Additionally rebuilt the Carburetor and added a stereo system and bunch of powder coat. This weekend I am upgrading my Brake system by adding a power booster to the master cylinder. Next upgraded Axel and gears and then Bumpers and recovery.
