TMHolland, I was told by the PO of my Jeep that mine was painted to the 1986 CJ Charcoal Grey Metallic 4M, and it looks identical to the color you are trying to hunt down. I've yet to order some touch up paint to compare the two.
DOH, attached as attachment. Lighting was great, so if you want a closeup or a different shot let me know.

All good advice, but, something doesn't look right about your axle placement. Your axles aren't centered properly. I may be wrong, but I have a hunch you have the springs turned around, that is, you have the shackle eyes mounted on the frame end. Even with the lift you have and the shackles being slightly longer the wheels should be centered in the openings.

The rear shackle mounts eye should be towards the front with the bolts in the rear.
Your wheel won't be centered during full flex but it should at rest.

I totally agree! There is a 1" difference in measurement from frame end mount to center of axle, vs shackle end mount to center of axle. Turn springs around!!!!

This one was pretty complete. She runs well, just burns a little oil. I swapped the tailgate out for one that was in a little better shape. It just needs a fuel tank and a set of seats. Both of which I have, I just need to drop in.
The floors aren't in the best shape, but it will be a fun 'beater' to run around in while I work on my '61 3B. Then this one will probably be pulled into the garage for its own frame off restoration.

I bet that 4.3 is a lot of fun in a 2A.

not to be a jerk but they didn't make the CJ2A in 1942. If you tell me your ser# I can tell you the correct year. Or if you would like I can direct you in the right direction to find it for yourself.
Killer jeep no matter what year it is!
