Dont shoot me for saying this, but i kinda feel like a true jeep will have at least the original motor it came with. Feel free to slam me especially since my dad has a 350 in his but really its just a frame and body when you take the heart out...

Mines no hardcore but I have Chevy axles, ford tranny, hummer rims, FSJ 360. Only thing true to it is the d300 and I love it this way. just like you though, this is only my opinion.
