1964 CJ 5 heap

Bought this CJ5 for parts or a reso. mostly origional. Needs a lot or help definitely a new body. Have a set of good front fenders and a very nice grille. It runs great all it needed was the pvc valve cleaned and the dist. rotor contact raised up.

Still Buildin

I posted the most recent pic for my profile. Since i got on here last i have done quite a bit to the old girl. I found a 71 CJ in VA for 500 bucks and got alot of parts. I got a dana 30 with disc, dana 44 single piece rear, both fenders and a hood. I got brand new superlift 4 inch springs, rocksliders, new rims and 34 x 9.5 super swampers new, which i havent re geared the rear axle yet but i am not sure if i am going to like the tires on the road. I also got a brand new windshield and turned around and sold the parts jeep for 700 so all in all a pretty damn good deal. I have put in a new steering column with tilt which was fun to wire. I have put in a saginaw power steering box but i havent plumbed it yet.

Did you remove the vent windows in the door or did you get the doors like that?

Here's one I built just to wheel a few times and then sell. It's currently in the Jeeps for sale section,

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f153/...-free-1316888/

but since it's a CJ, I figured the folks who follow this picture thread would enjoy it here as well.

My cj

Just picked this up, it’s my first jeep.
1980 CJ7 258 motor, AMC 20 rear, Dana 30 front, Dana 300 transfer case, t-999 auto trans.
Only mods were 3 shackle lift 33" bfg's. It was in the process of being rebuilt 10 years ago. Motor was rebuilt all new interior seats carpet center console added, and the lift. "New" at the time complete bushing kit installed throughout, rancho 9000 shocks. But when the 33's were added it was too much for the 2 piece rear and it was spun, along with it failed emissions for a lack of charcoal canister and a bad smog pump. So it was parked since then. The jeep has lived its life in Vegas so its rust free, just now ever seal and gasket is dry rotted. The plan is to do a complete body off restoration. I was able to get the motor to turn over after giving it a quick tune up and new fuel lines.

Oh i was trying to see what having black wheels would look like on it. I didn't have the original pic so it looks weird. But i recently put black fake headlock wheels on it and it turned out great! A new soft top as well... Thats dads jeep in the background..
