Nice rig. What brand is that bumper you have there? I am looking for a shortie of the same genre for my TJ. Thinking about building on from scratch if I can't find one, but yours is close to what I want.

Here is mine back in 2001. I met my wife later that year, and my poor CJ has taken a back seat since (currently at my mom's house, over an hour way). Good news though. Plans to get it back on (and off) road are in the making.

Actually my buddy built it for for. Basically it's a Currie knock-off, just cut down to size. If your interested in one, pm me and I'll give you his info, and you guys can discuss it. He owns a off road/powder coat shop, so everything will come complete and bolt on powder coated to the color of your choice.

Hey BIGYELLAJEEP, is that CHROME YELLOW?

My CJ was that color. It was a bold statement 16 years ago. Everyone knew it was me coming down the road.

Love it

I just bought my Cj7 off Ebay two weeks ago. My old man had a '79 Cj7 when I was a wee lad so I always wanted one. I am ready to sell off most all my other toys to throw some cash into this one. Here it is.

I gave the guy $3500 plus $100 in gas to drive down from Maine and meet me in Jersey. I live in Maryland so it was 3 hour drive for me and about 7 hour drive for him.

Dad gave it to me last week for my 18th birthday. More than I could of ever asked for, I'll never sell it.

1981 CJ-5, 258 6 cylinder

It is fairly original, including the paint... which looks almost new from about 20ft away. I've had people ask me if it is restored or what year it is, expecting it to be almost new. It is also nearly rust free. Most solid Jeep of this era I've ever seen.

Sorry for the bad quality pictures, had to take them with my cell phone. Can't take better ones right now because the jeep is in the shop, having the t176 rebuilt as the first three gears were whining badly.

Where you located in MD?

My folks in live in Gambrills/Odenton, my wifes live down in Dunkirk/Owings.

I just came back from re-doing Mom's roof, what a way to spend a hot weekend.

My CJ7, when I first got her
