I got tired of fighting the windshield frame, the wiper blade and the triangular window just to see out the passenger side mirror. They push out of the way quite easily for off-roading.

They are groovy, and a great way to get around that crazy right side angle. CJ mirrors stick out as they are, very creative.

Newest Addition to the Family

I'm a new Jeep owner. I took my first ride in a bright yellow, half finished Jeep while in high school, and it was love at first ride!

Got a divorce, bought a Jeep. At least I think that's how it went, it might have been the other way around...

I'm looking for a couple of decals/stickers that I've seen and would like to have.
One says something like, "Notice: Insanity has replaced reason in the modification and construction of this vehicle."
The other says, "If you can read this, please flip me over."

I think they'd make a nice addition

Well, I purchased the bolt-on collars from RockHard and fabbed up bars to fit my dash and OEM roll bar. That way, if I need to get behind my dash, all I need to do is remove a bunch of bolts and the entire front section is removable and I can remove the dash with ease. With one-piece roll cages, imagine having to get behind the dash - the entire cage would have to be removed. It would take 3-4 guys every time.

Call Sam at RockHard and he'll sell you the collars. They come plain steel and you'll have to paint or powder coat them. I would suggest buying 5/16" x 24 thread - 1" long stainless steel bolts. They go in like butter. The zinc bolts that the collars come with are "coated" with zinc so they are tougher to get in.

Re: Wicked Wide Mirrors

Since this "Wicked Wide" thing has haunted me all day, I tried pushing the arm forward and twisting the mirror so I can see it through the windshield glass. So it's in about the same spot as the factory CJ mirrors, but up a bit higher so I can see out of them and so they don't stick out so far.

ajeepman; AWESOME CJ man. That thing looks mean with that stance. Love those wide tires.

DizzyCJ; Great looking CJ! You should get one of those "Go Topless!" stickers on the rollbar so you can see it whenever the top is off. I always get a nice laugh when I see those.

Hey Dizzy, welcome to the forum. TONS of great info and very knowledgable members. I like the custom license plate you've already got on there.

HEY COPPER!!! Wicked wide wasn't meant to be an insult! I think your brackets are awesome! I know the majority of the time I don't even have a right side mirror because getting it adjusted is a nightmare and then on top of that anytime I go on the highway it gets bolwn out of whack no matter how much I tighten it down. I think it's a great way to make it usable! Maybe it's a local thing but around here wicked is a complement.

Don't go changing somehting that works because of my comment! That's what having a CJ is all about, modifying the OEM crap to make it better than ever. It takes imagination and creativity to have a CJ and SERIOUSLY yours is gorgeous. Here, just to show ya, if you want to see something 'wicked wide' in a bad way, check out my new fender flares. Hate'em. Now I have to figure out what to do about 'em.

Keep on thinking outside the box, it has managed to get your CJ where it is, an that is an envy to most of us on this board here. Keep it wicked! J

(mine is the green one - with the 'wicked wide' flares btw)

That notice sticker is on my CJ, I bought it about 3 years ago off of ebay, but they were sold in pairs, I think I still have the other one I'll look around for it if I find it I'll PM you and send it to ya!

Nice 5 BTW!! J

That is awesome, I agree. Love the stance, the fender flares I have would look much better with that wide stance.
