Oh, ok, I did not realize that this was your roll cage system there.

Actually because the tire can not come off of the rim they are not leagal in any part of the USA. In Colorado and Utah we tend to take exception to that, however, because they really could care less and never stop or ticket people for it. Same goes, in Co. for the fenders, No flares required, shoot, do not even need fenders at all if you do not want them on there.

Furthermore, and this one I LOVE, no ticket for driving with your windshield down! This is because it came that way from the factory, and it was intended to be able to do that. Therefore we do not have to put them up! (admittedly I usually do on the interstate. Too loud.

They will tell you that in the instance when they deploy a spike strip. Again, they have NOT been decided upon by the DOT as yet. So they are not LEGAL nor illegal. As for the rubber not coming off the rim, that makes the set up much safer. That's why it's a hot topic these days. Anyone running beadlocks should invest in a good torque wrench (I have a digital) and make sure to torque the beadlocks every month!

As for driving with the windshield down...I drove all the way through Oregon on my way to Canada with it down. I wore motorcycle goggles just to see. I carry three pair in my rig now just for those times when feeling like you're on a motorcycle yet surrounded by steel is just good fun. Oh, and the bugs are high in protein too

not being explicitly legal makes them illegal the way the law is written. I am not going to go and find and quote the entire thing, sorry, but I have read it in the past.

Anyhow, put them on at your own risk. If you live in one of those crap holes that will ticket you for your tire sticking out past your flare you can bet you will see tickets for this as well.

Well, when I call the "go to guy" for the California Highway Patrol and ask him... when he tells me they are NOT illegal in California "as long as I have highway approved tires" - I'm good.

You have to host them somewhere. Upload them to photobucket or something like that then you can post them.
