[QUOTE=centralflaCJ;5188386]Nice Jeep Scrambling man! I'm with ya, a lot of work and no coin!

Here is my 2nd Jeep, 1978 CJ5, all stock right now. I did manage to paint the grill though, the rest is still nice and crusty.

Here's my "Penny"

This is the way I bought her in August of 2007:

Here she is now:

I solved the lame CJ mirror design - I can see out of the pass mirror!

Her heart transplant went well, almost done:

Her new winch (yes, it's the new generation of the XRC-8):

More to come...stay tuned...

Guns don't kill people... Bad trail spotters do.

Why did you add that huge welded bracket to hold your windshield? It sure makes it a lot harder to drop it when you want...

Here in Utah, and back in Colorado I just leave it down all the time, even on the roads, unless I get on the interstate, then I have to put it back up just so I can hear myself think!. So it would kill me to have to unbolt that thing every time.

Really nice looking rig though...

Those welded brackets (on both sides) are the feet for my front roll cage section. We welded it up today. I'll have more pics soon. Anyway, instead of that large rubber knob, all I do is remove 4 allen screws and the windshield drops down like any other. SO I keep a T-handle allen wrench tool in my Jeep. No big deal.

Guns don't kill people... Bad trail spotters do.

How is that a CJ5? The doors make it look like a CJ7.
