CJ Radio

Did the radios that came in CJ's come in any other Jeep vehicles? I really want an original radio for my CJ but they are kinda hard to come by.

Also are any of them FM along with AM?

Crutchfields has two Shafted style car stereos, Kenwood and Sanyo. I tried both. The Sanyo was trash.. couldn't receive FM. The Kenwood lasted about a year before the right channel went out.

I got an AM/FM stereo JEEP radio (really Motorola) out of a '78 Waggy. It even worked, fit in the original holes and powered 4 speakers. I cleaned it up and replaced a small light bulb. Check any of the full size Jeeps in the junkyards; since they're enclosed, they have a better survival rate.
