Thanks. We lease and it looks like we won't be doing that property anymore had a huge poacher issue this year, some guys been hunting for the past two months out there. We had a 6 point or better rule for the past 3 years and we were just starting to see results so it's kind of sad. I was actually going to comment on your avatar in a another thread but I didn't want to get off topic. I like that stainless 10/22. My dad has one with a hogue overmould stock on it.

Whitetail, rabbit and grouse up here. Goose, Turkey, bear, predator (coyote and bobcat) on occasion.
Jeep, chainsaw, sks, .44 mag, winchester 12 ga., and a browning mirage bow.
Thanks for starting this thread, there are so many who don't wheel the jeeps for sport, but like to have fun getting from point A to point B, and actually arrive.
Sometimes I lose track of threads but a buddy called tonight to see if I wanted to go look at a lease this weekend...that jogged my memory
Looks like ya'll have a little bit of everything in Michigan!
1978 Cherokee, 360/T400/QT...5.3/4L60E/NP241C in the works...
I use my jeep for hauling deer more than for just about anything else.
I bowhunt most often but I do also use muzzleloader and shotgun when the seasons open.
A few pix. I'd gladly post more of my bucks but I was looking for picx with the jeep in them.
I hunt whitetails with my Mathews. But I love trapping and am somewhat decent at it best us 129 red fox in roughly 75 days. If I don't go away to school this year I'll shoot for more then that if I do go away I'll trap yotes up north.
Should be fun in my jeep this season with 4x4 did that with a 2 wheel ranger:/
I only paper punch and take my Martini Henry 577/450 with home made black powder cartridges as they were obsolete 100 years ago. Effective range is 1100 yards with a 500 grain lead bullet which I cast myself.
Brother in law wants to go hunting in Java jungles so will take CJ.
I used to competition shoot, but I'm 50 now and my eyes aren't what they used to be.
I don't hunt much anymore, but I used to be a RABID hunter!
Still varmint shoot when I can get the time.
My Jeeps get me to/from the ranges, which I practice quite often, and my FSJ is lockable gun range storage for my 'Addiction'.
I build/tune custom rifles for myself and others,
I reload and have WAY TOO MUCH reloading hardware,
Lots of 'Varmint' decoys, water fowl decoys, fishing gear, ect.
And my little Jeep gets me into places those huge diesel pickups can't even dream of getting into!
I don't cut those huge ruts going in and out either, so lots of farmers/land owners let me come and go where they won't let ANYONE else in...
Works out good for me and them since I control varmints and I get to hunt in places others don't.
What do you hunt: Black tail and Mule deer, Rabbit, Quail, Dove, & Pheasent.
What are your tools? 7mm Mag., 30.06, .308 & a camo CJ-7!
Favorite tools, favorite calibers? 7mm Mag. Was my Grandfathers rifle and was passed to me, when he passed away in March. Still haven't taken it out of the safe yet, need to give it a bit of time, but plan to Deer hunt with it this year.
Do you reload? Yes
Do you compete? Nope, I can barely get time to HUNT!
I shoot paper. Ive shot a few things that had heartbeats, but its been a while.
Shot three gun, and long range comps for years.
Favorite caliber is either 7.62x51 or 556.
I collect guns, more military weapons, but Ive always used my 4x4s to get me out there to shoot, and the crazy rock crawling stuff is not really my style. Nothing worse than breaking down ten miles in, by myself, to climb a hill that wasnt in my path...
Hunt when I can. I am in Texas so there is a large variety of things to hunt. I personally use a remington 700 bdl 7mm mag for deer and recreation yes I have the older pre X-mark trigger and no it has not fired on me while taking the safety off. I enjoy my collection of pistols and building AR-15's as well. For birds, trap and skeet, I have several shot guns, a winchester model 1300 is my main one, dad bought it for me when I was 12 and it shoots really well. Have some savage .410 .22 over unders my grandfather bought back in the 30's . I am buying my dad a winchester model 70 featherweight .308 for fathers day and my concealed carry pistol of choice is a Sig Sauer P229, a little bulky but I am larger than the average guy and it fits me nicely. I try to shoot as often as I can
I shoot pictures.. not into killing something, but fishing, that's another story, LOVE to fish.. (well, I have to modify that shooting thing, break into my house, mess with a friend/family, and you have a strong chance of getting shot, very strong!)
I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like the passengers in his JEEP!...
