Got another buck on the 3rd week of Californias D-8 zone, deer hunt. Not a giant, but the biggest deer I have killed. 18" across.

Btowntaz,

Nice buck, congrats.

FYI, some people feel that bloody, back of the pickup, dead deer pictures don't help a hunters image. I really couldn't care less, but I have tried to be more sensitive to their feelings in recent years.

Maybe I'm getting soft....

Matt

Thanks Matt. Once I had him in the back of the pickup was about the only time I had to take a picture considering I had to drag him uphill 200 yards and gut him. And if people are concerned about seeing a dead deer in the back of a pickup or a spot of blood, i would suggest they stay out of the post about hunting.

If it makes you feel better, I can post a picture of this bad boy on my dinner table!

Sorry Matt, not real big on being sensitive. I have found that people are going to believe whatever they want about hunters, regardless of facts or if I have a picture of a buck in the back of my truck. But I made sure to take a picture JUST for those sensitive people you spoke of! Enjoy.

Matt said it made no difference to him.

But I feel exactly as you, "anti's" (enviro, tree, hunting, etc) are extremists and more detrimental to our country than what they campaign against.

I think the ole Buck belongs in the bed rather than propped up on the front seat of the Dodge

Yeah I got that. I was just busting his "soft", sensitive balls.

Deer are so overpopulated in our Hoosier National Forest you couldn't kill enough of them. They are almost like rodents.

Tasty rodents! Falcon, I might not be able to get them all, but I would sure like to try!

And I just happened to find a picture from my 2010 Mammoth deer season. Sensitive viewers beware! hehe

I remember one night (we were pretty young and dumb) we left for the forrest and by the time we got there some of my buddies were pretty toasted. We hit the only club near the forrest and then headed to the forest waiting/sleeping for the early morning to come, of course as usual deer everywhere along the side of the road. One of my buddies Joe was totally lit and decided he would go bow hunting illegally right then. He hopped out of the truck. The next morning we walked a few feet from the truck to find him passed out on the ground sleeping like a baby. He'll never live that one down.

Right on Bamasteeler!

Sorry guys, living in California with all these tree hugging, dope smoking, democrats makes a guy a little defensive. But you can't give in to their "sensitive" BS. If you do, you will be forced by LAW to hunt with "lead free" bullets, because they offend nature!

The finger is classy touch. Thanks.

Look, you can take pics of yourself humping the deer, as far as I'm concerned. It won't bother me.

Just realize that not everyone is a natural born killer like us. That's all.

Again, congrats on some nice bucks for Cali standards.

Matt

Haha i was just giving you a hard time Matt. No offense intended. I was just happy to find a use for my flip off deer pictures, other than to send to my coworkers. Has been a tradition at work to take our pictures with a bird. Have never thought of a humping picture, maybe next year.

No offense taken.

I'd be angry, too, if yearling bucks were all I could shoot.

Just yanking your chain.
