CJ File Sharing....DXF, DWG

OK, looks like we can post up our cad files!

If possible, post a pic (jpg) of the file.

<PLEASE DO NOT POST DRAWINGS YOU DID NOT DRAW YOURSELF>

Lets observe the rule of "if you did not draw it, do not post it"

This will keep the forum mods and admins out of trouble and the thread open for all to utilize!

Admin and mods, please feel free to delete or modify any posts (attachments) you find that break any rules.

ENJOY!

WSS

Nice WSS,
What about stuff that isn't quite CJ specific? I drew up a wooden frame that I'll use to lift the motor out of myCJ, and also the US flag that I plan to cut out and use as a stencil to paint on the hood. Figured I'd ask first.
Thanks for the dash drawings too!

I would say go for it. If it can be used on a CJ, perfect. There is a cad thread over on the fabrication section for all fab stuff, might want to try that too.

ps, a new slogan for the CJ section:

BUILT NOT BOLTED

US Flag

I drew the US Flag at 10X scale so that it would come out at 10" x 19" when I printed it. I used the proportions as provided by USFlag.org.

File Type: dxf USFlag.dxf (59.2 KB, 85 views)
File Type: dwg USFlag.dwg (81.4 KB, 76 views)

I just wanted to throw this out there for people that do not have access to CAD or are intimidated by it. Google Sketchup is an awesome program for home design use with a ton of support on the web including access to thousands of drawings. I am an engineer with a ton of experience in CAD and I use sketchup at home because of it's support. I used it to design my rear bumper. I found a drawing of a Jeep that someone had uploaded so that I could see my design on the vehicle before touching a piece of metal.

Here are some .jpg of some brackets that I did when I ran my fuel and brake lines. This was more of a custom job but maybe some of you can use it. I am attaching everything as a .jpg for now. Me and .dxf files don't get along so just shoot me a PM and I can e-mail you a step or parasolid file. Also notice that all but one of these clamps are not split in half. I used a wire EDM machine to cut these up and left a gap in the middle to compensate for the .010" thick wire plus spark gap (so if you need two separate drawings just take out .014" out of the middle). If anybody has any issues with the drawings let me know I can fix them up and make them easier.
