CJ fender flares

I really want to put some wider flares on my 81 CJ. Of course its a narrow track but I'm running 32x11.50 tires. I'm just at the edge of the stock flares but need a little more protection from slinging mud. I think the 6"-7" flares are out of the question, I think they would look dumb. Something in the 4"-5" range would be much more acceptable. Any thoughts?
