CJ Dash and grille help

Im trying to swap a fiberglass cj5 dash for a steel 85 CJ7 dash...they the same width? or will i have to trim?

Im taking front fenders and grill off and there is a bolt for grill to frame, I keep loosening it but it wont come all the way off, is there a nut on the other side(not underneath)?

There's "nut" inside the base of the grill. Unfortunately it often spins.

I ground the head off the bolt to remove it. After it was off I opened up the area it's located and inserted a new one.
