CJ CB Radio Mounts

Has anyone found a decent mounting option or bracket for their CB? I've got a pedestal mount but can't stand it...just not solid enough. I've looked on eBay for a few options but haven't seen anything that would work any better. I've got a Galaxy unit which is pretty bulky. I may need to start thinking about getting a smaller CB. Any suggestions?

Where are you trying to put it? Overhead? Dash mounted? In the Glove box? If its small enough you could put it where your radio goes. Or if you have a center console you could put it in or on that.

Throwing out various options.

In winter i use the hard top and mount the radio gear up top-- nice, clean and out of the way. For topless summer mode, it all mounts to the center bar that i add when topless. Running Galaxy 949 and Yeasu TF7800.

good luck

I took the glovebox door off, cut the back out of the glovebox, and put my CB in there. It seems to work reasonably well.

I mounted mine on my center console right where I can get to it with my shifting hand...I ran the wires under the driver's seat and around under the lip of the door...and I spliced in connectors right by the seat so I can unplug it and take it out when I'm not the trail...
