Speaking of A/C. I am thinking of removing mine, but need a buyer because I don't have anywhere to store it. I will sell EVERYTHING related to the A/C system. But, I want to sell it all together no parting out.

Anyway - 1977, good answer.

The jeep A/C systems suck. It's really not worth it; I took mine out and gave it away.

The fan unit is huge and bulky; it takes up a ton of space under your dash that you could do other things with (switches, lighter outlets, etc.).

All Jeeps are so drafty anyway that the A/C doesn't even work much.

Just my 2 cents . . .

I could see where some might think this, but with carpet, a hardtop, and good door seals, it does make a big difference. I run toppless most of the summer, but on those rainy days when all your windows instantly fog up on the inside when you get in....the AC clears them right up. my 86 is not drafty and only leaks in the hardest of rain....Under the right conditions (a nice daily driver), I say it's a keeper......under other conditions, such as a trail rig or rock buggy, it's dead weight and useless.

Yeah, CJs came with A/C. The 235 model. Two doors off; 35mph. The beauty of CJ air is that you can upgrade real easy. Just go faster.
