Been covered in other threads...you need the CJ-8 bulkhead as well and the '76-early '79 rollbar (or a custom one) that sits on top of the wheelhouses.

'86 CJ-7 Laredo: 4.2,T-999,D300,D30/D44,'94 YJ tub, full cage, Shrockworks rockers, OYR corners, AC,cruise, restored seats,3 tops,2.5" Superlift,F-T shackle reversal, RS9000x's,35" Dunlop Mud Rovers.
'83 Scrambler: time & money pit under construction with parts from CJ's,YJ's,TJ's,FSJ's,GM,Ford,IH,Honda,Toyota and a whole lotta aftermarket & custom stuff.

If you ever want to plug in a 401 I stumbled onto an almost unlimited supply.

With all the fun goin' on I completely forgot to answer petey's question (although it has been answered). It is a stock Scrambler bulkhead.

Mine came out of a Wagoneer but there are hundreds if not thousands setting in old International Harvester school buses in fields and lots all over the U.S. AMC sold the 401's to I.H. for their heavy duty trucks.

I.H. also had a 304 that was NOT an AMC engine but one from their truck line. It shared nothing in common with the AMC 304 except displacement. Most school buses are high mileage but they were also well maintained and hardly ever rebuilt. If you are curious enough to go looking for one try to find a late '70's model.
