Choke Problem!!!

Went off into some mud yesterday and now my choke doesnt work.......just stays open which causes it to die unless i constantly give it gas........tried just spraying some carb & choke cleaner figured it was gummed up a little bit but it still refuses to move. any ideas?

does it move by hand, or is it still locked solid after you tried the lube? - someting's bent/binding - Is it electric? - check for power to the red wire. Is it vacuum actuated? did you check the vac lines?

it will move by hand, which makes me think it might be electrical, and the previous owner "removed" all the vacuum lines and it's been running fine without them and since i never got a chance to see it with the hoses hooked up so i have no idea where they go ill check the power to the red wire everything got covered in mud/water and my electrical wasnt the best to begin with......... thanks for the advice
