Nicey Done

Jkoz,
Great Job. I think you should do a write up on your install so other CJ5 guys can see that this can be done. Again great job and would like to hear about the install.

Completely agree I have an '81 CJ5, and I would feel a lot more comfortable with my son in the back if it had one of these bars.

What's a resonable price to pay for one of these family rollbars? I've got somebody who's parting out a 94 Wrangler and I want to offer a fair price.

I bought mine for 75 bones I think. Never hurts to start low when offering....

Got mine for 50 from pick n pull. I would say 50-100 bucks is fair.

Jealous. I've been trying to buy one. I can't find one to buy to even start on price. Willing to drive. Willing to pay top money. Willing to even swap a sport bar for one. Been posting wanted ads on Craigslist for 6 months. Still looking daily.

I started at $50, but quickly ended up at $150. The bar itself is in really nice shape but the pads and the belts are pretty poor. The pads are probably beyond repair but I'm hoping the belts can be cleaned up and salvageable.

But what a beast to get out! We lost 4 of the 20 associated Torx bolts to the drill bit. Now I'm looking at my 86 and wondering how many of those 12 are going to strip out.

Anyway, I got it home, cleaned up all the rust spots and painted it up so it looks nice and shiny. Sadly, now a gas tank leak is going to take precedence over getting the new bar put in.

Is that a bench seat in the front?

That is awesome. I have never seen a CJ7 with the bench seat before. Was that stock?

All stock. No roll bar, no back seat, no spare tire. Lighter, plow, heater and hardtop. That's it.

I know its an old post but will the standard front seat belts for a 1983 CJ7 bolt right onto the 92 YJ bar? I can get the cage but no belts.
