Carter BBD carb question

The Haynes manual doesnt say what screw is what for the air/fuel mixture settings on the front of the carb.

So which one is which?

Thanks

There are two of them--both very near the bottom of the carb on the front. You want to have them both turned out/in the exact same number of turns, so start with them about 3 full turns out and then slowly ease them in (clockwise) 1/8 of a turn at a time (alternating between the two) until the vacuum/RPMs start to drop, then ease them out (counterclockwise) about 1/8 of a turn.

Currently an '86 CJ-7 and a '77 CJ-7 Golden Eagle---#4 and 5 following a '01 Sahara, '90 Sahara, and '85 CJ-7....
