Carter 2bbd issues

Ok guys, I just bought a used carter to replace the one I have, the new one is a little different than the old one. The problem I am having is on the vacuum lines. I cannot find the nipple for the vacuum advance. Every diagram I have looked at has the nipple coming off the engine side of the carb. Any ideas, or am I just blind?

Looks like there is a port on the lower right side in the first pic. That would be manifold vac which is what I have always used. Ported vac seems like a waste of time to me.
