Carb question!

I have an Amc 360 bored .040 over with a mild rv cam and and Edelbrock performer intake. I currently have a Carter 500 AFB with offroad needles on it currently. I know that carburetors aren't that great for offroading, but there has to be a better carb than this. It consistently floods out on an incline and will not start up till level again. Please any recommendations for a different carb would be appreciated.
