I am having some trouble with the engine 258 stalling while rolling without a load on the engine. It will idle fine at startup when stationary and runs well under acceleration. I am having trouble identifying the make of carburetor which makes troubleshooting difficult. Anybody able to help on this one? It only does it when the engine is at temperature also.

Looks like a breed of Weber that's a progressive 2bbl. , there should be a mod. num. on it but you may have to remove it to find it , on my 38 DGAS it is on the base flange by a idle mixture screw .

Grab the carb and see if the body or base bolts are loose. If not, cross #1 and #6 plugwires at the cap with the aircleaner lid off and make it backfire a couple times (NOTE: Do NOT do this on Holley or Motorcraft with powervalves or carb rebuild time will come early)

This looks like that Solex 34-TEIE that had stickers put on it and was sold as a Weber 34-DGEC.
