carb. for a GM 151

Does anyone know if a MC 2100 will work on a GM 151 or of any other carb to replace the stock problem causer?

What's wrong with the stocker? Why not just rebuild or replace with stocker?

possible new carb

I was checking to see if anyone might know of a carb that would work before I got a rebuilt. The PO of my jeep must have used a big hammer to tune it , it's all beat up.
The engine is in good condition except for the carb.

If your state requires emission inspection for your Jeep. Find a rebuilt Rochester if yours is damaged.

If no emission requirements, stick with Rochester or switch to a Weber http://www.webernorthamerica.com/jp

I have a 82 CJ 5 with the GM 151 with Weber Carb, Clifford Intake manifold, & Hedman Header

Good luck

My little rochester was pretty beat up as well, but after a $15 carb kit and a days work cleaning, it ran like a champ (for a carb) I'd try rebuilding it myself first. If by the po using a hammer to tune it, you mean the chunk that looks to be broken off, someone has already rebuilt it once. You have to break off a plug to get to the mixture screw which was sealed at the factory.
