Update

FedEx lost the last two sheets of wrap that I ordered and the mfg had to reship. Received them Wednesday.

If the weather is warm enough this weekend, I should get the passenger side fender wrapped and that will leave just the hood.

I have some repairs to make to the glass hood before I can wrap it.

So, last weekend I spent time painting the hard top and stripping and repainting most of the exterior hardware with Duplicolor rattle can truck bed liner. Looks so much better than the glossy black finish, IMO.

Yeah man the top looks really nice. I keep meaning to "get around" to doing that on mine, but for some reason something else keeps trumping it.

Great job so far!

Errr, don't get me lying. It wasn't super fine and it wasn't coarse either. Some where in between. I'll check tonight when I get home and let you know.

If I was twenty years younger I'd be puttin camo on mine right now.
Did you happen to see the "American Chopper" where they dipped some stuff to get it camo? Don't think they could handle a tub in that outfit, but it was pretty cool.

120 grit. Mine had been painted at least twice by the PO or PO's so it pretty much had no texture. The rattle can truck bed liner gave it back some texture.

Wait a minute. I'm 45. You're 46. You calling me an old fart?

I saw something similar, but it wasn't camo (I think). They dipped a helmet in this vat and when they pulled it out it had this cool, multi colored design on it like it had been custom painted.

My neighbor was telling me about the American Chopper episode and I was wondering if they could make a big enough batch of that stuff to dip a tub. That would be killer.

I just felt that camo was more for the twenty-something group.
I have choosen to express my inner child/immaturity/middle age crisis by placing an EFI 5.0 under the hood and getting a really loud "system".
The array of 12 12inch subwoofers currently has me baffled, but I'll figger it out.

BTW- we are both old farts.

I've been told more than once that I should act my age, but that's just not much fun.

I chose the camo wrap more for economic reasons. I'd like to replace the tub, fenders and hood in a few years with a Fatman tub or another glass body. So I didn't want to put much $$$ into this one.
