Shreveport. Home of the Independence Bowl that nobody watches. About the only time I'm down BR way is passing through on the way to the beach (otherwise known as the Redneck Riviera).

LOL. That's what I was thinking when I read BJF's comment above. If I do this right, nobody will ever see me anywhere.

HAHA!! how would you go about organizing a search party for your jeep if you ever got it lost in the woods. "Um well i was just by some trees and a bush, and it looks like.. well a tree and a bush"

Nothing like a Shrimp Buster and a pitcher of beer for lunch. On a sad note, the co-owner of Herby K's was shot and killed at the restaurant in July of 2006 while trying to stop a robbery.

The guy in the picture in front of Herby K's is Jimmy. I think Jimmy worked there for 800 or so years.

Northwest Louisiana. 10 minutes from Texas, 30 minutes from Arkansas. In fact, I think we are going to be annexed into Texas next week.

The camo wrap has a 5 year warranty including fading. For me it was a good choice because I would like to replace the tub and hood in a few years. I didn't want to spend the major bucks it would cost to have it professionally painted with the chance that I would replace it in a few years. The wrap will cost just under $500 when I'm done.

Nice Job! Something to really consider for my 77 CJ5. Is it available in the new digital camo? I too wonder if an owner of a camo has ever "lost" their Jeep in the woods.

Buttercup - Where upstate are you located? I used to live in Watertown.

I have seen digital camo somewhere. I just can't remember where -- sorry.

Update

I've had a request or two for an update.

It has been a slow learning process, but I'm down to the hood and one fender. Had to order 2 more sheets of vinyl today (I wasted one sheet learning how to do this ).

I've also been painting hinges and other hardware as well as powder coating/wrapping the windshield frame and installing new glass after cracking the orignal one.

I am also installing/fitting/wrapping new glass fenders and flares. The glass hood is going out to repair a crack on the front before wrapping.

At this point, I'd do it all again. Although I do have some concearns about some of the seams and the wind catching them while driving. Your goal while installing is to have all of your seams "downwind", you just can't avoid it in a couple of places. I will be ordering some vinyl edge sealer for those. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Here's a couple of pics:
