Broken Shock Mount

The mount on the stabilizer bar in the rear broke off and before I had a chance to fix that my shock mount broke in half. The shock is hanging there with half of the mount still attached...... Should I just try welding the mount back together or is the mount its self replaceable, I have not crawled under to investigate yet, I just found it and was a little annoyed.

thanks a lot. Also I was driving in the rain the other day and I noticed water dripping out from under my dash, this has happened before but I never had any problems. Well this time it must have hit my radio because first my speakers went out, now my radio wont turn on. I imagine this is coming from the vent outside the windshield. Is there an easy fix for this?

Cowl vent

I had the same problem, I re-fiberglassed the box that is under the grill. This worked for a long time but eventually it started leaking again. I guess I'm not that good with fiberglass. When it started leaking again it fried my new cd player so I took the grill off and cut a piece of sheet metal to fit under the grill and siliconed it in. I replaced the grill on top of the sheet metal and it doesn't leak anymore.

I would replace the cowl seal there. That should fix the problem, also look at the windshield wiper seals. There is a recent thread with a link to the outer seals that need to be replaced. They are prety cheap. I would try there first on this problem. I bought my cowl seal on ebay for 12 bucks, so they arent too pricey either. If you dont feel like dealin with ebay pretty much every online vendor sells em.

I welded a rear shock mount for a buddy. Did not cost him a dime. The stud was broken off. I put a taper grind on it and welded it back on with high heat. It has held for years. See if you can find a buddy who welds.
