Brake pads and shoes

So I am thinking that is going to be time for pads and shoes soon. I was looking at the selections on the O'Reilly's website and the pads range from $7 to $60. Ceramic, Carbon Metalic, Thermoquiet. What do you recommend? I just need a good set of pads for the best price I can get them at. I want good perfromance but I dont need anything super high performance.

Shoes - they are little easier as there is only one choice.

In my experience, you get what you pay for. I put cheap pads on my Ford Ranger and they were horrible. Didn't stop very well, pedal faded, brake dust was ridiculous.

After about a year I replaced them with some from napa that cost about $50 iirc and couldn't be happier. Much more stopping power, pedal stays solid and almost no brake dust.

I am running Napa's best pads and shoes on my CJ7 and I could not be happier. The crew at my Napa store know when I walk in there will be no selling or pricing of their value line to me.
