Curious what you did for the paint route? Wanting to paint mine red, preferably on a budget. Looks really good by the way.

Thanks guys. As for paint I actually just scuffed it with a scotch brite pad, hit it with Duplicolor Self-Etching primer and then used some Red Case-IH farm implement paint from our local farm supply store. I will admit it looks good in pictures and from about 10-20 feet, but up close you can tell it isn't professional. To me it's good enough though.

Got my seats installed. Modded both brackets but more so on the drivers side so that it sits about two inches lower and further back. I'm very happy with them.

So apparently the cam gear is replaceable????? That makes this a much smaller problem.

Started replacing the cam gear. Got everything apart to find the timing chain is stretched and very loose. Got one ordered.

Why is it every project started is the beginning of three more? No wonder it's so addictive, gotta' love it!

So being the brilliant SOB that I am, after I got the motor all put back together and running fantastically I decided to see how hard it would launch. So now if I hold the brakes and release the clutch my rear driveshaft spins but the tires don't. So yeah.. rear end is rather broken. And now it's upgrade time. I am trading the install labor on a B&W hitch in a new RAM for a Dana 44/14 Bolt set with 4.56 Gears. Definitely not ideal, but the price is very right. Planning on just doing a spring over in the rear and a simple radius arm and air shock setup in the front. Looking at 39.5" Iroks.. I am aware this is a bit much for a Dana 44 so I intend on leaving it open for the time being and then going to RCV shafts WHEN I to start breaking things.

And of course we got a foot of snow last night. If the Jeep wasn't broken I could have a ton of fun.

Making a bit of progress this weekend. Shaved the bottom of the 14 bolt and got it completely torn down. I should get most if not all my parts for the disc brake conversion this week. Here's a couple pics. More will come as I make more progress.

Looks like I've found a set of 39.5-13.50-17 iroks in Denver for half the price of new. I'm headed down there for Chrysler training tomorrow so I'm gonna go check them out.

Also a few more pics of the shave.
