I took the CJ to have the front end alligned today. Steering is much better, but I am wondering if I will need the drop pitman arm or tie rod flip. The wheel is now straight.

Also, the guy said I am now about 3 degrees off on the rear. I am gonig to try to find 3 or 4 degree steel shims and slip them in. I am also planning to replace the U-joints with new Dana/Spicer joints after the shims. I want to perform these steps separately to see if the shims stop the vibration or not.

I tightened all the U-bolts and shackles this morning before the allignment. It seemed to help quite a bit. I was able to tighten most of the U-bolt nuts several turns.

I purchased a set of Bestop Seat covers in Black Denim today. I was expecting a little better fit, but maybe they need to breathe out of the box a bit.

I has a set on my TJ (front and rear), and they were the same out of the box

the longer they sit (especially in the sun) the better they'l sit/fit.

I still believe they are the best looking/fitting seat covers for stock seats

I scored a GT Steering wheel for the awesome price of FREE! I merely needed to clean it up, paint the allen screws and the metal cover and she looks almost new!

Boom, it's not free if you have to invest a whole 10 min in painting and cleaning Nice Score

You posted some valuable info on the minor problems with your lift. Looks great and sounds like you're very happy with it. You going to keep the shock covers on? Usually they trap dirt and moisture.

I'll order my BDS one of these days, but not sure how the blue will go with my planned yellow and black theme; adjustments may be made

True! However, there is something about taking a part that had been discarded or forgotten and bringing it back to life!!

My dad & I purchased some YJ parts last week and it was part of the lot. Also scored some nicer female seat belt ends, better backseat and much better front seat frames. I will paint them and install over the weekend.

Hi Trap... The horn button does NOT work. I think it is missing a part. I may have to invest in the kit.

Diameter is 14"

Finally got around to painting the set of half doors I bought off Craigslist last year. I also added Kentrol strikers and door strap posts. For the inside of the doors, I found a set of black plastic panels on eBay. This morning, I went to Grand Canyon 4x4's (eBay seller) place of business to purchase interior pull handles and the interior latch release handles to finish the job. I definitely have the red/black/red/black motif going on now! :-) Need to eventually get it painted one color!
