Body Panels

Has anyone used the body panel adhesive instead of welding?

I've used it to replace floor panels, and I highly recommend it. I documented the job in the Gaucho pickup build thread, you should be able to find it with a search (or by following the link in my signature to that thread).

I used it also to mount in the support baffles that are inside the rear wheel houses as the Repli-tubs do not come with them. Also mounted the battery tray threaded support brackets to the firewall since the spot welder I had could not reach in to do the job. It is just as strong as spot welding as long as you mix equal parts of the adhesive together. Highly recommend it as it is easy to work with.

Do you have a specific brand that you use? Could you take post a picture of it or a link? Where did you get it at?

3M brand I believe and they make a lot of sealants and adhesives for the auto industry. Bought mine from NAPA off the shelf.
