Body Mount Bolts

Please notice i said body mount, not body lift. While doing my bushing swap this weekend from stock to stock i remember someone asking a long time ago what size bolts hold everything together... so for reference...
On a 82 CJ-7...
Radiator is a 7/16 14tpi x2 1/2"
Two behind the front tires 3/8 16 TPI x 3"
Next two sets and the two on either side of the gas tank 3/8 16 TPI x 2 1/2"
Finally rear bumper pair are back to 7/16 14tpi x 2 1/2"

Qualifier... This is for stock with a new set of stock daystar bushings.

If someone else can fill in the OD on the washers (obviously the ID is the bolt size) and info on the sleeves it can all be in one place for reference.

All of theese bolts were available in stainless at local Lowes for less then $20.

The best you can do is usually to get the oversize fender washers. If you want stainless, West Marine on Broad St (Richmond's west end) has them.

I used some large galvanized square washers used by utility crews on telephone poles when converting over to a fiberglass body for the body mount bolts.

Front BMB

I was installing 2 inch body lift and front body mount under grill snapped any ideas how to get it out?

Ancient thread, but you are looking for help rather than just adding "x2" to someone's comment.

So the bolt snapped? Not what you want to hear but you are going to need to take the grille right out so you can cut a hole in the bottom of the mounting surface. Then fish out the broken bolt and thread plate, replace the threaded plate and weld the access hole shut.

You might be able to do it with the grille in place by cutting the top of the mount open to remove the old thread plate but that depens on how much of the bolt is sticking out. Did it break off flush with the thread plate? Or did the head snap off?
