Blown head gasket repair with steel seal
Has any one tried the product steal seal to repair a blown head gasket or something similar? Please I am looking for honest opinions
1975 CJ5 Levi Edition, 304 V8 AMC; Blue with denim seats.
I have used K$W Block Seal, I had a 87 yj that the block was creaked on the left side between to the 2 freeze plugs. Ran it fore another 2 years! In fact it's been setting for over 2 years and still has coolant in the radiator.

I'd think that depending on where the leak is - into a cylinder or just a coolant leak. If it is leaking into/out of the combustion chamber, then a "tune-up-in-a-can" won't work, too much heat and pressure involved. If it is just a head gasket leaking coolant out into the oil or externally, then possibly, since it'd only have the 16psi or whatever the coolant system cap is rated at pushing against the sealer.

You can try to short shift problems like this all you want, but in the end the offending head gasket will let you down, perhaps with catastrophic consequences. Do yourself a favor and and replace it. It will be cheaper in the long run and may save you a long walk.
